“The Red Sleeve” beats “Happy New Year” and “Don’t Look Up” to top Kino Lights’ weekly integrated content ranking
OTT integrated search and content recommendation platform “Kino Lights” unveiled its integrated content ranking in the first week of January.
This ranking is an integrated ranking that includes contents within OTT services provided in Korea and movies currently being screened in theaters. The drama “The Red Sleeve” topped the integrated content ranking in the first week of January.
Starring Junho and Lee Se-young, “The Red Sleeve” tells the record of a royal court romance between the King of Joseon, who believes his duty is to his country first above love, and a court lady who wants to protect the life she has chosen. “The Red Sleeve”, which ended on Jan 1st with a rating of 17.4%, seems to be drawing public attention as it can be watched by streaming on wavve and Coupang Play.
The films “Happy New Year” and “Don’t Look Up” ranked second and third respectively. “Happy New Year”, which was released through TVing and theaters on Dec 29th, depicts the story of clients who visit the hotel Emross with their own stories as they make their own relations in their own style. “Don’t Look Up”, which was unveiled on Netflix on Dec 24th, is about two astronomers attempting to warn humanity about an approaching comet that will destroy human civilization. Both works became hot topics even before their releases as they featured super luxurious cast lineups such as Han Ji-min, Lee Dong-wook, Kang Ha-neul of “Happy New Year” and Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Lawrence of “Don’t Look Up”.
No.4 was the musical animation movie “Sing”. It seems that the number of viewers looking for the previous work on OTT has increased due to the influence of “Sing 2”. The drama “Our Beloved Summer“, which took 5th place, is an SBS Monday-Tuesday drama that has been airing since Dec 6th. It topped the integrated content ranking in the third week of December.
Besides, No.6~10 belonged to “Spider-Man: No Way Home”, “Escape from Mogadishu”, “The King’s Man”, “Dune”, “Snowdrop” and “Kingsman: The Secret Service”.
