The reason Lee Guk Joo shed tears during a recent recording, “I’ve been hiding my emotions”
Comedian Lee Guk Joo confessed her hidden innermost thoughts.
MBN’s travel program “First Time in My Life”, which will air the first episode on March 19th, features Noh Hong Chul, Lee Guk Joo, KCM, and 4 haenyeos (female divers) from Jeju on a trip to Nha Trang, Vietnam.
Hearing the life story of haenyeo Yoo Kyung during the recent recording, Lee Guk Joo said, “I had to be a dependable daughter who is like a son at home, and a cool senior entertainer at work. I had lots of burdens on my shoulder”, recalling the past.
She confessed, “I was so angry that I couldn’t rely on my boyfriend. One day, he told me that I looked cool. It was a compliment, but it also made me feel burdened”, then began to shed tears.
Lee Guk Joo said, “My anger piled up and it burst at some point. I didn’t even want to do broadcasts”, adding “I cried on a broadcast once. Nevertheless, people asked me, ‘Why are you crying when you choose and like to do this job?’”
In response to the story, Noh Hong Chul, KCM, and the haenyeos gave their own words of comfort and advice to Lee Guk Joo, creating a heartwarming scene.
The first broadcast of MBN’s “First Time in My Life” will air at 9:30 p.m. on March 19th.
