“The Idol” slammed with criticism for making “appalling” reference to a notorious sex offender

“The Idol” episode 3 continues drawing controversy due to an appalling “joke.”

In the third episode of “The Idol”, aired on June 18, titled “Day Break,” the series started with another sexual act between Jocelyn (Lily-Rose Depp) and Tedros (The Weeknd). They were hooking up in a Valentino dressing room, but Jocelyn walked out in the middle of it, leaving Tedros to finish himself off – very loudly.

However, that was not the worst part of the episode. When Jocelyn was letting herself loose in the romance with Tedros, Andrew Finklestein (Eli Eoth), the director of Jocelyn’s MV, was not pleased with her attitude and said the pop star is “making [him] have IBS,” adding, “I’m f–kin’ s–tting more blood than a kid at Epstein’s island.”

In Hollywood, Jeffrey Epstein was known to be a “billionaire pedophile.” He was an esteemed, rich, and powerful financier before receiving charges of trafficking and sexually abusing young women and underage girls in 2019.

Jeffrey owned a private island called Little Saint James in the Virgin Islands, the U.S., where he committed heinous crimes against women and girls.

He committed suicide by hanging in the Manhattan prison in New York in August 2019 while waiting for trial for sex trafficking. Nonetheless, his presence and crime were a stain in the history of Hollywood. The ignorance and blatant disrespect of what happened angered the public; some said this “joke” was their breaking point.
