On July 18th, Kim Woo-bin conducted an interview with a number of media outlets two days before the release of the SF fantasy film “Alienoid part 1″ starring him.
When asked about his current health, Kim Woo-bin replied, “It’d be comfortable if I could express my body’s energy like my character Guard in the movie. I feel much healthier than before.”
He announced the good news, “Last Tuesday was the 5th anniversary of my treatment, so I had a regular checkup. I heard from the professor that I’m healthier than before.”
Kim Woo-bin also talked about the change in his attitude towards life after battling with nasopharyngeal cancer.
Kim Woo-bin recalled, “Before, I always lived for the future. I exercised for my body to get better tomorrow and acted without sleeping today to show a better performance tomorrow. I lived and whipped for my future.”
However, after he became seriously ill, he came to think of the present as important.
Kim Woo-bin explained the change, “I like the current moment. I try to feel this moment and enjoy it more. I try to focus more on the person in front of me. I almost got rid of stress while working. It seems that only now can I enjoy what I do more and be happier.”
Finally, at the end of the interview, Kim Woo-bin gave a special request, “Make sure you undergo a health checkup.”
Meanwhile, in May 2017, Kim Woo-bin visited the hospital as he felt abnormal symptoms in his body while digesting his schedule. He was diagnosed with nasopharyngeal cancer.
Kim Woo-bin, who stopped his activities and focused on recovering his health by receiving medication and radiation treatment steadily, surprised fans by appearing as a presenter at the 40th Blue Dragon Film Awards held in November 2019.
However, his full-fledged activities began this year.
Kim Woo-bin met his fans after a long time by appearing in tvN’s “Our Blues” and “Unexpected Business 2” this year.
