The viewer age rating results of the new Netflix series “All Of Us Are Dead” were surprising.
If “Squid Game” and “Hellbound” have brought about a global craze in 2021, the K-drama craze next year is expected to be started by this drama.
We are talking about the zombie series “All Of Us Are Dead,” which is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2022. The work, based on a popular webtoon of the same name published on Naver Webtoon in 2009, depicts a story, which takes place in a high school where the zombie virus has spread, about the things that happened to the students isolated inside that were unknown to those who were trying to go through an extreme situation to save them.
It is expected that this drama will bring another zombie craze to the list of Korean Netflix works, like how the “Kingdom” series have already caused the K-Zombie craze before. As such, the zombies and descriptions depicted in the original are so bizarre and cruel that they are expected to be formidable.
Above all, new actors and veteran actors who have made their presence known in various works such as Yoon Chan-young, Park Ji-hoo, Jo Yi-hyun, Ro Mon, Yoo In-soo, Lee Sang-hee, Ha Seung-ri, and Lee Yoo-mi got the expectation high for the audience.
Meanwhile, on Dec 1st, the Video Rating Committee posted the results of its deliberation on the viewing rating of “All Of Us Are Dead” season 1. “All Of Us Are Dead” is at the highest level in five categories (violence, profanities, horror, drugs, imitation risk), which is higher than “Squid Game” with four categories. All of them are over the age of 15, so the drama is expected to receive a rated R.
In response, the committee said that a number of murder scenes, repeated use of slang words, and law violating scenes of students were inappropriate for teenagers to watch and could have harmful effects on them.
Regarding these results, there are currently different responses online that it will be hard to enjoy from those who expect this series to be as much fun as “Squid Game,” so it is expected to bring a lot of controversy and topic when it is released. “All Of Us Are Dead” is scheduled to be released in the first half of 2022.
