Previously in October 2021, Kim Seon Ho took a temporary hiatus from his activities when he was swept up in a controversy over his private life, immediately after the end of tvN drama “Hometown Cha Cha Cha”. At the time, he stepped down from ongoing appearances in KBS2’s “2 Days & 1 Night”, as well as the films “Dog Days” and “2 O’Clock Date”. He later made a return with the play “Touching the Void”, and “The Childe” will be his first on-screen comeback.

Kim Seon Ho also continued, “I’m grateful for the many people who came to visit. This is the first event for ‘The Childe’, a film created after much effort by director Park Hoon Jung, the actors, and the staff. They all put in a lot of effort, and I did my best during the filming. I ask for your support.”

On the other hand, “The Childe” is an action noir film revolving around Marco (Kang Tae Joo), a boxer with a complicated past. He has been wandering around illegal arenas in the Philippines, where he resides with his sick mother. One day, however, Marco travels to Korea to find his estranged father, only to be relentlessly pursued by a dangerous group of people, including an unidentified man known as the “nobleman” (Kim Seon Ho).

“The Childe” is set to be released on June 21st.
