Song Kang Releases Handwritten Letter 1 Day Before Enlistment: “I will not waste time”
Prior to his enlistment, famous actor Song Kang bids farewell to fans and expresses sincere feelings through a handwritten letter.
On April 1, Song Kang shared the news of his enlistment and his feelings towards “Songpyeons” (official name for fans of Song Kang) in a handwritten letter posted on his fan cafe.
The full letter is as below:
“Songpyeons!
I’m not sure where to start…! You’ve probably all seen the news articles, but I’m finally going!
To Songpyeons who have loved me since my debut in 2017 and even after that! I feel like I’m here because of all of you. These days, many memories and years are passing.
I always write a gratitude diary before going to bed these days. There are so many things I’m grateful for! Birthdays, anniversaries, fan meetings, and more. They filled my 20s with meaningful and memorable times, and I’m filled with gratitude towards Songpyeon.
I won’t be with you for a short while now, but time will fly by quickly. I hope to see you again with a thankful and healthy heart when that time comes. If that time comes, I hope to greet you with an even happier appearance than now.
There are many things I want to do in the military, and one of them is to learn a new language. I will not waste time. I hope our fans will also have many meaningful moments during that period, doing what they want to do and finding themselves.
Songpyeon is such a significant name, so let’s think of each other, and I will always be here! I will go and return safely, healthy, and happy! I love you, Songpyeons! Always.”
