Shuhua’s recent health decline led to (G)I-DLE’s fandom’s concerns for their idols’ health.
Recently, K-pop girl group (G)I-DLE has started their first ever world tour named “Just Me” in many countries and continents around the globe. During one of their stages in a Mexican city, their member Shuhua unexpectedly collapsed on stage, worrying the fans.
Specifically, during the performance of their b-side “My Bag” in their newest album, the (G)I-DLE’s youngest member suddenly fell to her knees and could not proceed with the performance. Other members immediately checked up on her and Yuqi directly carried Shuhua off the stage to have a rest. Afterwards, the group continued with their performance without their youngest member. Fortunately, the idol was quick to be back on her feet and returned to the stage. She did not forget to show her gratitude for the fans who were able to make it to the concert.
Following the event, many explained that the reason for Shuhua’s sudden collapse was due to altitude sickness, considering that Mexico is at a much higher altitude than Korea. Not only Shuhua but many other Kpop idols coming to this location also experienced fatigue and low energy due to drastic altitude change. However, “Neverlands” ((G)I-DLE’s fandom name) expressed their concern towards the tight schedule that did not leave time for rest and adjustment to environmental change. They group only had one free day before carrying on to the next stage.
In light of the situation, many fans are requiring their management company, Cube Entertainment, to take better care of the members and allow them more time to rest. On a different note, the girl group will continue their tour through cities in Asia, including Jakarta, Manila, Tokyo and Singapore from the end of this year to January next year.
