Professor Seo Kyung Deok showed his appreciation for Song Hye Kyo’s 12 years of contribution to the “Independence Movement Promotion”.
On the 14th, Professor Seo Kyung Deok posted a message he received from an anonymous netizen on his social media account. The message started by saying, “I saw the guidebook produced by Song Hye Kyo and Professor Seo at the Provisional Government of the Republic of Korea Memorial Hall and sent a message because I was delighted.”
According to Professor Seo, he has received many DMs that praise the guidebook that he and actress Song Hye Kyo have consistently donated to world independence movement sites. He mentioned that the intended achievements of their “Independence Movement Promotion” project are gradually becoming apparent.
“This time, we will publish a guidebook introducing the remaining independence movement sites in Hawaii to mark the 120th anniversary of Korean immigration to the United States this year,” the professor added.
Professor Seo also mentioned that for the past 12 years, he and Song Hye Kyo have donated Korean guidebooks, Korean signs, and replicas to 33 Korean independence movement sites overseas. He then urged people to visit those sites, saying, “Please visit these places at least once.”
Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo has been supporting the project by donating Korean language guidebooks on Korean independence movement activities to memorials, museums, and art galleries around the world. She also produced a video to introduce the life of a female independence activist, Sudang Jeong Hwa (1900-1991), on March 1st.
On the other hand, Song Hye Kyo recently starred in the Netflix drama “The Glory” and received a lot of favorable reviews for her role as school violence victim Moon Dong Eun. She is also nominated for the Best Actress Award in the TV category of the 59th Baeksang Arts Awards, which will be held on April 28th.
At the moment, Song Hye Kyo is filming “The Price of Confession” alongside actress Han So Hee.
