“Snowdrop” releases script reading video: How’s the chemistry between Jung Hae-in and Jisoo?

The script reading video of “Snowdrop” has been released.

JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama “Snowdrop” (written by Yoo Hyun-mi/directed by Jo Hyun-tak) is scheduled to premiere on Dec 18th. Set in 1987 Seoul, this drama tells the story of a desperate love that goes against the times between Suho (Jung Hae-in), a prestigious university student who suddenly jumps into a women university’s dormitory while being wounded, and Youngro (Jisoo), who hides and takes care of him amidst the surveillance and extreme situation.

In the script reading video released on Nov 29th, the production team and the cast gathered together and showcased a fantastic chemistry in a friendly atmosphere. Director Jo Hyun-tak led the atmosphere comfortably by saying, “I will become a director who you can talk to comfortably.” Writer Yoo Hyun-mi expressed her determination, “It’s been 12 years since I held this material in my heart. I’ll do my best.”

Jung Hae-in and Jisoo raised expectations with their in-depth character analysis and high-density voice acting. Jung Hae-in, who plays prestigious university student Im Suho, drew attention by deeply expressing various aspects of his character from gentle charisma to secret smile.

Jung Hae-in shared his thoughts about Suho, “He’s a character that gets caught up in a whirlpool as the plot unfolds. The director, writer and seniors helped me relax a lot, so I read the script comfortably and joyfully.”

Jisoo, who plays the role of Eun Young-ro, a lively and cute freshman at Hosu Women’s University, showed a high synchronization with her calm character thanks to her stable acting skills. Jisoo said, “I play Youngro, a character who gets involved in an accident with Suho. Please look forward to what will happen to the two. This was my first script reading, but I was encouraged a lot by other people’s comfort and support.”

The powerful lineup of actors with outstanding acting skills has added great effect in expressing the characters’ personalities. Jang Seung-jo plays Lee Kang-mo, the leader of Agency for National Security Planning’s Team One, who always follows the rules, while Yoon Se-ah takes on the role of Pi Seung-hee, the strict housemother of Hosu Women’s University Dormitory. Kim Hye-yoon plays Kye Boon-ok, the mascot of Hosu Women’s University Dormitory, Jeong Yoo-jin appears as the Public Security Agency agent Jang Ha-na, Heo Jun-ho as Eun Chang-soo (Eun Young-ro’s father) and Kim Jeong-nan as Hong Ae-ra (Eun Chang-soo’s wife). In addition, Park Sung-woong will play Secretary-General of the Democratic Party Nam Tae-il, and Jung Hye-young will appear as Nam Tae-il’s wife – Cho Sung-sim. The cast aroused laughter and tension for each scene, heating up the atmosphere of the script reading.
