Six-member boy group summoned in the recent sexual harassment controversy quickly released their position

The six-member male idol group OnlyOneOf announced their plan to take legal action after getting called out in a recent rumor.

On April 3rd, OnlyOneOf’s agency 8D Entertainment released a notice on their official SNS channel, saying “We release this announcement to correct the false information that is spreading on SNS regarding the prosecution’s exclusive report about an idol member in articles today (April 3rd)”.

The agency continued, “We would like to inform you that OnlyOneOf is not related to the reported articles at all, and if false facts continue to spread in the future, we will firmly respond by taking strong legal action.”

Earlier on the same day, Seoul Newspaper reported that former idol member A of a six-member boy group had sexually assaulted another member B from 2017 to 2021. B reported A to the police in 2021, and A left the group in the same year. On the 29th of last month, the prosecutors demanded a three-year prison sentence for A and requested public disclosure of personal information, a sexual violence treatment program, and a five-year employment restriction order for A.

Immediately after the article was published, a male idol group consisting of six members with one former member, who left the group in 2021, was mentioned on Twitter and various online communities.

OnlyOneOf debuted in 2019 as a group of seven members, including KB, Rie, Yoojung, Junji, Mill, Nine and Love. However, Love withdrew from the group in 2021.

At the time of Love’s withdrawal in 2021, the agency posted a notice on the group’s official fancafe, saying “After careful consideration and mutual agreement, Love, who has been active as a member of OnlyOneOf, decided to end his activities and withdrew from the group. Since this decision was made with the member’s personal matter, please refrain from making indiscriminate speculations and spreading false information regarding his withdrawal.”

Meanwhile, OnlyOneOf, which was later reorganized as a six-member group, made a comeback with their mini 5th album “seOul cOllectiOn” on the 2nd of last month and promoted their new song on music shows for about three weeks.
