Side effects of drugs? Yoo Ah In’s appearance on a past entertainment program is controversial

Netizens re-examine a scene of Yoo Ah In, who is suspected of taking drugs, in a past variety program.

According to TV Chosun on March 1st, the National Forensic Service announced that Yoo Ah In’s hair test came out with a positive result for cocaine and ketamine, following propofol and marijuana. As the drug case of Yoo Ah In is getting more serious, netizens bring up a suspicious scene when he appeared on MBC’s entertainment program “I Live Alone”.

On “I Live Alone” broadcast in June 2020, Yoo Ah In was seen gasping and breathing heavily. He then suddenly stood still looking blank. Of course, at the time of the broadcast, some viewers were already curious about his actions. Some speculated that it was abnormal symptoms of his health problems caused by smoking and allergy. 

Due to the recent scandal, netizens have begun to raise suspicions of Yoo Ah In administering drugs, pointing out that his appearance on the show at that time may be a side effect of drugs. Some commented, “Even at that time, I thought he was not normal”, “He started to look weird at some point”, “His breathing sound is weird”, etc.

Since 2021, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety has already asked the police to investigate Yoo Ah In on habitually receiving propofol prescriptions at various hospitals. On February 5th, the police conducted a search and seizure on Yoo Ah In’s body and a simple urine test. As a result, the actor tested positive for marijuana. 

The detailed assessment from National Forensic Service later found more drug components, such as cocaine and ketamine. In short, a total of 4 types of narcotic ingredients were detected in Yoo Ah In’s body. The police are planning to summon Yoo Ah In for questioning as a suspect.
