Screenwriter for Song Ha-yoon and Jo Byung-gyu’s K-drama: “I’m Going Insane”

The writer of a K-drama starring Song Ha-yoon and Jo Byung-gyu, who are both embroiled in school violence scandals, can’t help but lament.

On April 2, Kim Poong, famous webtoon artist, broadcaster, and screenwriter, published an Instagram story expressing his speechlessness after Song Ha-yoon’s school violence controversy emerged.

The story, which simply included the message “I’m going insane” and a lot of ironic laughing expressions, is speculated to be Kim Poong’s way of expressing his frustration regarding the recent scandal.

In particular, Kim Poong is known to have penned the K-drama “History of Losers”, which finished filming in 2022.

However, due to the drama’s leading actor Jo Byung-gyu facing a school violence controversy, broadcast was halted until today.

Later on, as Jo Byung-gyu started to clear his name and returned in the 2nd season of “The Uncanny Counter”, however, hopes for the K-drama being allowed to air rose again, only to be once again squashed due to Song Ha-yoon facing school bullying accusations.

Now, with Song Ha-yoon admitting that she was forced to transfer school due to being involved in a school violence incident, it seems that the K-drama will never see the light of day, prompting Kim Poong’s frustration.
