Song Ha-yoon Confirms Forced School Transfer But Denies School Violence Allegations Raised By JTBC

Actress Song Ha-yoon admitted that she was forced to transfer to another school but insisted that JTBC’s accusation was false

On April 2nd, official from Song Ha-yoon’s agency King Kong by Starship said to My Daily, “It is true that Song Ha-yoon was forced to transfer from Banpo High School to another school due to her involvement in a school violence case”.

They continued, “However, it has nothing to do with the school violence accusation reported by the program ‘Incident Director’ on JTBC. The actress doesn’t know who the informant is”, adding “We believed that it was ambiguous to mention this information first because this school violence accusation has nothing to do with the forced transfer. We will release our official stance later”. They added, “We are collecting distorted rumors online”.

Earlier on the 1st, JTBC’s program “Incident Director” reported Song Ha-yoon’s school violence suspicions. Informant A claimed to have been a school violence victim and that the actress slapped him for 90 minutes. A added that Song Ha-yoon was involved in an assault case and had to transfer to another high school.

Later on the same day, Song Ha-yoon’s agency denied the school violence allegations. The agency reportedly tried to contact A to verify the information but received no answer.

As the controversy intensified, netizens discovered that Song Ha-yoon studied at a total of three high schools, including Jungwon High School, Banpo High School, and Apgujeong High School. Amid the confusion, someone found a comment from six years ago, saying “We were classmates in high school. A friend was hit and bullied then the perpetrator was transferred to another school. A friend whose personality is different from their look.”
