Postpone the airing of “Wise Resident Life” to the second half of 2024 “Aftermath of collective resignation issue?”

"Wise Resident Life", linked to the collective resignation issue in the medical field, will be broadcasted in the second half of the year

On March 21st, tvN told Spotv News, “‘Wise Resident Life’ was not confirmed to be scheduled for the first half of the year, but it has been decided to air in the second half.”

They added, “‘The Midnight Romance in Hagwon’, featuring actors Jung Ryeo-won, Wi Ha-joon and So Ju-yeon, will be scheduled as the follow-up to ‘Queen of Tears’.

Wise Resident Life

“Wise Resident Life” is a spin-off series of “Hospital Playlist”, depicting the life and friendship of university hospital professors and doctors. Actors Go Youn-jung, Shin Si-a, Han Ye-ji, Kang Yoo-seok and Jung Joon-won are set to appear.

Initially expected to air in the first half of the year, “Wise Resident Life” had been speculated to possibly air in May, and tvN had even released teasers early in the year, fueling anticipation.

However, with the recent ongoing conflict stemming from the government’s policy to expand the national medical school admissions quota, as residents continue to submit collective resignation letters in protest, concerns arose regarding whether “Wise Resident Life” could air during this period of unrest. Ultimately, it seems that “Wise Resident Life” has been decided to be scheduled for the second half of the year.
