Park Seo Joon recalls when he acted as Shin Bong Sun’s blind date partner before debut, “I remember that precious memory clearly”
Park Seo Joon talked about his new film “Concrete Utopia” and his blind date memory with Shin Bong Sun before his debut.
The cast of the new movie “Concrete Utopia”, including Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young, guested on the August 8th broadcast of MBC FM4U’s radio “Kim Shin Young’s Noon Song of Hope”. Seeing the three actors, Kim Shin Young exclaimed, “The production team and I couldn’t believe that three of you would come here. We thought it was a lie. How amazing”.
On the radio, Lee Byung Hun, Park Seo Joon and Park Bo Young revealed that the three of them are F. While Lee Byung Hun is ENFJ, Park Bo Young is ISFP and Park Seo Joon is INFP. Park Bo Young and Kim Shin Young then had a conversation about the differences between “-FP” people and “-TJ” people.
Scheduled to premiere on August 9th, “Concrete Utopia” depicts the story of survivors gathering at an apartment in Seoul after it was devastated by a huge earthquake. Describing the movie, Lee Byung Hun said, “Isn’t it hot these days? The filming took place in the middle of summer but we can indirectly experience winter since the background of the story is set in freezing cold weather. There are many funny points to watch, but overall, the tension will keep increasing until the end”. Park Bo Young added, “I’m confident that this movie has high completeness. You should also look forward to the actors’ impressive acting performances”. Park Seo Joon also shared, “You will have many thoughts after watching it. The various stories will make viewers wonder, ‘What if I were them?’”, raising viewers’ high expectations.
When asked how they would react if they were in a real disaster situation like the movie, Park Seo Joon said, “I think I would go out to understand the situation”. Park Bo Young shared, “I will go out if I think I can figure out the situation better when staying inside”.
Lee Byung Hun said, “I think it would be safer outside in the situation where everything collapses like in the movie”. He added, “I wanted to portray a character that anyone can relate to. I thought it would be better to start as an ordinary person since I wanted to depict how the character changes due to extreme situations. I discussed the character with the director a lot.”
Kim Shin Young also mentioned Park Bo Young and Park Seo Joon’s roles as husband and wife. Park Seo Joon explained, “My character changes depending on the situation because he considers protecting his family the top priority”. Park Bo Young said, “Seeing my husband’s changing behaviors, I also think ‘I shouldn’t do this or that’.”
Park Seo Joon then recalled when he appeared on MBC Every1’s “Infinite Girls” as Shin Bong Sun’s blind date partner before his debut. The actor said, “I remember that time very clearly. I knew nothing about broadcasting back then, so I was impressed by how hard she worked. I remember telling her that I would like to meet her again after my debut”, adding “We haven’t had any chance to meet each other again, but I still remember that time. Whenever I think about that memory, I realized how precious it was.”
