Not aespa or BLACKPINK, but IU is the singer with the most-streamed song on Youtube in 2021
IU’s “Celebrity” topped the Youtube Music Annual Chart Top 10.
According to the domestic and foreign music Hits 2021 compiled by Youtube Music, IU’s “Celebrity” ranked 1st place, followed by the No.2 aespa’s “Next Level” and No.3 BTS’s “Butter”.
No.4 to No.7 were taken over by Lim Young-woong’s “My Starry Love”, IU’s “LILAC”, BTS’s “Dynamite”, and Brave Girls’s “Rollin”, respectively.
Meanwhile, IU won the Best Female Artist and Best Vocal Performance at the 2021 Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS (2021 MAMA) held at CJ ENM Studio Center in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, on December 11th.
In her acceptance speech, IU said, “MAMA awards trophies are always heavy and look like gold. As I display these trophies at home, I feel really happy and that I should be more responsible whenever I look at them. This was a year in which I have worked hard on my music activities. Thank you for giving me such precious awards. To UAENAs (IU’s fanclub) who always listen to my music, promote my songs and vote for me, thank you so much.”
