“Lovers” tells the story of lovers thrown into the chaos of the Imjin War. Writer Hwang Jin Young, known for historical dramas, and director Kim Sung Young, who proved his strong directorial skills in “The Veil,” joined forces for this drama.

In the drama, Namgoong Min plays Lee Jang Hyun, a man who doesn’t care about anything until he meets a certain woman and opens the door to an unexpected fate. Ahn Eun Jin plays Yoo Gil Chae, a young woman who grew up beautifully in a noble family but becomes mature as she mourns a man amidst the intensifying war.

“Lovers” will go head-to-head with SBS’s upcoming SBS drama “The First Responders 2” as the follow-up to “Revenant.”

Starring Kim Rae Won, Son Ho Jun, and Gong Seung Yeon, “The First Responders 2” depicts the cooperation between firefighters, police officers, and the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, and Transport as they face unprecedented and complex cases. After the success and popularity of Season 1, Season 2 has been produced. The drama is scheduled to premiere on August 4 at 10 PM KST.
