Apple TV’s new original series “Pachinko” has been gaining much attention these days, especially because of the steamy scenes of two characters Hansu (Lee Min Ho) and Sunja (Kim Min Ha) having sex in the wood. Besides comments praising the scenes for being tastefully done and admiring Lee Min Ho’s onscreen image transformation, there are still netizens who think these scenes are inappropriate for a historical Korean drama.
In fact, the two lovemaking scenes in episode 2 and episode 3 are not explicit or show any nudity. They only show the two characters kissing, and focus on the female lead’s expressions. However, some viewers still find the scenes uncomfortable to watch because the expressions and the sound effects are too raw and “overly realistic”, saying they could have been delivered in a more artistic way to fit the overall atmosphere of “Pachinko”.
