“My Liberation Notes” Son Seok-gu confesses his past of being a host and his passionate love for Kim Ji-won… But will it be a sad ending?

Son Seok-gu confessed everything to Kim Ji-won but “My Liberation Notes” viewers are still worrying about a sad ending.

In episode 15 of JTBC’s Saturday-Sunday drama “My Liberation Notes” (scripted by Park Hae-young), directed by Kim Seok-yoon), which aired on May 28th, the “Worship Couple” Yeom Mi-jung (Kim Ji-won) and Mr. Goo/ Goo Ja-gyeong (Son Seok-gu) were comforted by each other’s existence.

My Liberation Notes

On this day, Mr. Goo returned to his reality for a while enjoying the happy reunion with Yeom Mi-jung. He had to go back to his business because he mistook Saturday for Sunday. Mr. Goo left a promise to Yeom Mi-jung, who said she would wait, saying “I’ll be right back”, then hurriedly began to work.

In this process, Mr. Goo was seen with many fierce appearances. Earlier, the woman, who got fired because Mr. Goo came to her workplace and humiliated her, was drunk and hit a staff. Mr. Goo also found out that his close senior embezzled their business money to pay back his debts. In addition, Chairman Shin secretly pressured Mr. Goo whose hands were shaking because of his alcohol dependence.

Yeom Mi-jung waited for Mr. Goo, who had barely finished his work, for an hour and a half. Later when they met again, she taught Mr. Goo, who came back with an exhausted look, how to live with difficulties step by step. Mr. Goo smiled at Yeom Mi-jung.

Yeom Mi-jung also confessed the moment Mr. Goo called her was when she nearly made a mess at the wedding of her ex-boyfriend, who ran away without paying back the money he borrowed from Yeom Mi-jung. She expressed, “This man, he’d never let me hit rock bottom. He’s stopping me”. Later, the two went to Mr. Goo’s house and fell asleep together in one bed.

Mr. Goo’s harsh life continued. Chairman Shin urged Mr. Goo to treat his alcohol independence but it turned out that Yeom Mi-jung was the only solution.

In the end, Mr. Goo asked Yeom Mi-jung, “Do you want to do a part-time job? Just listen to me talk”. He naturally talked about his past, saying “When I started out as a host, I quit after just two weeks, thinking ‘There’s no way I can do this’. All people do is complain, ‘My husband is having an affair’ and so on. I’d rather go and get beaten up until my nose bleeds than do this.”

He continued, “How about 10 sessions? You usually get therapy in sets of ten sessions. After the 10 sessions, if I still have things to say, we’ll do another 10. You like listening to me talk, right?”. Yeom Mi-jung, who seemed to be surprised by Mr. Goo’s unexpected confession of his past, smiled and said, “You’re putting words in my mouth now”. Yeom Mi-jung carefully listened to Mr. Goo’s past story.

The two spent their time at Mr. Goo’s house again and Mr. Goo said he did regret meeting Yeom Mi-jung again. It was because he is a really bad person compared to when he was in Sanpo. Mr. Goo then confessed, “Just know this. I liked you for real. Later, I have no idea what kind of mess I might become. I’ll probably end up homeless. I’ll be grateful if I could end things before then. Anyway, I really liked you”. Yeom Mi-jung replied, “Thank you.”

Mr. Goo continued to reveal his inner thoughts, “I really hate people. I hate seeing them moving around in front of me. If my temper suddenly flares, I don’t know what kind of expression I might show you, what I might do or what I might say to you. I’m scared”, emphasizing, “But remember this one thing. Even if I end up becoming the asshole to end all assholes later on, remember I really liked you.”

Mr. Goo told Yeom Mi-jung that when he ran out of things to talk, they’d end there. The two gradually fell asleep.

In the teaser for the final episode, Mr. Goo’s reality was shown. Chairman Shin gave an order to the organization as he had noticed someone’s embezzlement. Mr. Goo said ‘I’m definitely not happy”, adding, “So please punish me just a little”. The audiences are paying attention to the last story about the future life of Mr. Goo, who finally found the only resting place in his sinful life, and whether he will be liberated.

In addition, many viewers’ attention are also focused on the true liberation of Yeom Chang-hee (Lee Min-ki), who could not forget Ji Hyun-ah (Jeon Hye-jin), and Yeom Ki-jung (Lee El), who is facing a crisis in her relationship with Jo Tae-hun (Lee Ki-woo).
