
The Korean Corporate Reputation Research Institute announced the results of their big data analysis of the individual brand reputation for girl groups in March on the 19th. The top spot went to NewJeans’ Minji.
The Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute analyzed the brand reputation index of individual members of girl groups for the month of March 2023 using big data from 107,453,847 pieces of brand data extracted from 635 members of girl groups from March 19th to this month’s 19th. The analysis was conducted using participation index, media index, communication index, and community index based on consumer behavior analysis of individual members of girl groups. Compared to last month’s brand data of 112,905,361 pieces, there was a decrease of 4.83%.
Firstly, NewJeans’ Minji, who recorded the highest individual brand reputation among girl groups, had a brand reputation index of 5,061,658, with a participation index of 1,501,865, media index of 1,252,202, communication index of 591,168, and community index of 1,716,423. Compared to last month’s brand reputation index of 4,866,970, it increased by 4.00%.

Blackpink’s Jisoo, who took second place, had a brand reputation index of 4,902,969, with a participation index of 209,928, media index of 512,556, communication index of 1,625,273, and community index of 2,555,212. Compared to the brand reputation index of 3,401,226 in February, it increased by 44.15%.

Ranked third, Blackpink’s Jennie had a brand reputation index of 4,423,131, with a participation index of 176,110, media index of 304,154, communication index of 1,205,206, and community index of 2,737,661. Compared to the brand reputation index of 4,485,463 in February, it decreased by 1.39%.

According to Director Gu Chang-hwan of the Korea Corporate Reputation Research Institute, “In March 2023, among individual girl group brands, NewJeans’s Minji recorded the highest brand reputation index. When analyzing the individual girl group brand category, it decreased by 4.83% compared to the big data of individual girl group brands of 112,905,361 in February. In detail, brand consumption increased by 4.24%, brand issues increased by 3.30%, brand communication decreased by 13.88%, and brand expansion decreased by 2.35%.”
He added, “In March 2023, NewJeans’s Minji, who recorded the highest brand reputation index among individual girl group brands, showed high scores in ‘chic, cute, and innocent’ in link analysis, and ‘million seller, Ditto, and Billboard’ in keyword analysis. Compared to the brand reputation index of 4,866,970 in February, it increased by 4.00%. In detail, brand consumption increased by 4.24%, brand issues increased by 3.30%, brand communication decreased by 13.88%, and brand expansion decreased by 2.35%. The positive ratio analysis showed an 86.70% positive ratio.”
