Former NCT and WayV member Lucas sent a well-wishes message to student fans, but missed the timing, causing mixed opinions.
On June 12th, Lucas, a former member of NCT and WayV, sent several bubble messages to fans. In particular, the male idol wrote in Chinese, “I recently heard that some people are going to take an exam? Is that the university entrance exam? Fighting! Students go to bed early.”
Since the messages were written in Chinese, it seems that Lucas meant to wish for Chinese fans to take their university entrance exam well. However, since the Chinese university entrance exam was held from June 7th to June 10th this year, Lucas wished his fans 2 days too late.
While this “awkward” timing caused laughter among fans of Lucas, many netizens commented that it’d be more meaningful if the male idol could have sent the message earlier.
However, many fans showed evidence that Lucas was only responding to some Chinese fans who mentioned their upcoming exams. He also posed a question, asking if it was the university entrance exam, and only meant to sincerely cheer his fans on, they said.
