Discussions about BLACKPINK’s contract renewal with YG are gaining attention in the industry
BLACKPINK’s Lisa spent time in her home country, Thailand, after BLACKPINK’s final Seoul concert in September and had a busy schedule in Europe. She performed at the Crazy Horse show in Paris and engaged in various activities as a luxury brand ambassador.

BLACKPINK’s contract with YG expired in August. Since they contribute significantly to YG’s revenue, discussions about the members’ decisions regarding contract renewal have been hot topics.
Amid this, on October 16th, the U.S. online game Roblox announced the opening of BLACKPINK’s new space in the game, “BLACKPINK The Palace.” Roblox explained that it is themed around iconic music video scenes of BLACKPINK and allows players to decorate and host parties for friends in the rooms.
They also revealed the news about the avatars for each BLACKPINK member, Jisoo, Jennie, Rosé, and Lisa. Roblox mentioned that during the weekend from October 20th to 22nd, BLACKPINK avatars would take the stage every hour to welcome Blinks and encouraged participants to complete the event to receive a BLACKPINK hoodie as a reward.
Particularly, Roblox’s BLACKPINK event, conducted in collaboration with YG, has sparked hope about whether it’s a positive sign for a contract renewal.
