HyunA to Make A Comeback After 2 Years
Singers Yong Junhyung and HyunA, who are openly dating, are returning to their main profession by reuniting with their fans
According to Star Today from the Maeil Business Newspaper on the 9th, HyunA will release a new song on the 2nd of next month.
This comeback comes approximately 2 years and 4 months after the release of her mini 8th album ‘I’m Not Cool’ in January 2022. The format of the album has not been confirmed yet. HyunA has already finished recording the new song and is currently focusing on preparing for her comeback performance.
Earlier, on the 7th, HyunA posted three photos on her Instagram with the comment “Recording finished.” Fans speculated that this comment hinted at her comeback and showed their anticipation.
In January, HyunA publicly revealed her relationship with Yong Junhyung by posting a photo on Instagram of them holding hands and walking together. Later, Yong Junhyung also confirmed their relationship through a paid communication platform with fans.
However, Yong Junhyung had previously been embroiled in controversy after it was revealed in 2019 that he had received illegal filming footage from singer Jung Joon Young. Jung Joon Young was sentenced to 5 years in prison in September 2020 and was released on the 20th of last month.
After hearing this news, many fans expressed regret about HyunA dating someone who had caused social controversy.
Moreover, some netizens spread sexual harassment and false information about HyunA after her relationship with Yong Junhyung was made public. In response, her agency, P Nation, stated on the 3rd, “We have confirmed numerous malicious posts containing sexual harassment, false information, malicious slander, and defamation directed at our artist HyunA recently. We will take strong action against this.”
