‘Lee Sun-kyun’s Blackmailing Case’ Accomplice Is Reportedly Hostess Bar Head Kim’s Upstairs Neighbor

According to JTBC on December 26th, accomplice A did not show up at the substantive examination for an arrest warrant on her blackmailing charge scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at the Incheon District Court’s warrant court on the same day.

A is accused of extorting 350 million won from Lee Sun-kyun by threatening him together with Kim, the female director of an entertainment establishment involved in the actor’s drug case. A and Kim were on the list for investigation when Lee Sun-kyun filed a lawsuit. The actor claimed that he delivered 50 million won to A and 300 million won to Kim, respectively.

A is known to have become close to Kim as she lived upstairs in the same apartment. Accordingly, A knew everything, from the relationship between Lee Sun-kyun and Kim to their drug use.

A allegedly sent an anonymous Telegram message to Kim, threatening, “I know you have a secret relationship with actor Lee Sun-kyun. I will disclose the fact that you took drugs”.

Later, Kim told the police, “I was threatened through SNS by a person who raised suspicion of my relationship with Lee Sun-kyun”, adding “I don’t know who she is”. However, it turned out that A was a neighbor living upstairs to Kim.

Professor Oh Yun-sung from the Police Administration Department of Sooonchunhyang University said in an interview with YTN on the 28th, saying, “It’s my personal presumption, but it seems that Kim is very close to A. Since A spoke openly about such matters, it makes me think that she knew about the threatening content and engaged in the threat.”

Meanwhile, Lee Sun-kyun was found dead in his car at a park in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 27th.
