Lee Jun Ho heats up Taipei with his visit following “King the Land” success, proving his presence as “new Hallyu King”
Lee Jun Ho stole the hearts of fans in Taipei and demonstrated his huge popularity in Asia as a multi-talented singer and actor.
On August 2nd, Lee Jun Ho arrived in Taipei to attend an event hosted by the global sports brand Adidas Originals. Visiting Taipei again after 11 years since 2PM’s concert tour “What time is it?” in 2012, he made headlines and received a warm welcome at every step he took. The fact that around 700 fans came to the airport to greet Lee Jun Ho was enough to certify his immense popularity.
On the morning of the 4th, thousands of fans flocked to the ‘Adidas Originals Club’ event held at Adidas Brand Center in Taipei to see Lee Jun Ho. In addition, journalists from numerous media outlets, TV channels, newspapers, and magazines also gathered at the event to report Lee Jun Ho’s Taipei visit and Adidas event participation.
Local media stated, “Lee Jun Ho, who is acting as Goo Won in the Korean drama ‘King the Land’, visited Taipei for the first time in 11 years and showcased his strong influence. This also confirmed Taipei fans’ affection for ‘King the Land’.”
Lee Jun Ho played the role of King Group’s heir and King Hotel’s head general manager Goo Won in JTBC’s recently ended Sat-Sun drama “King the Land”. Portraying a romance Im Yoon Ah, Lee Jun Ho gained favorable reviews for his delicate acting skills and contributed greatly to the success of the series. Apart from its impressive achievements on Netflix Worldwide chart, the drama also topped the drama ranking on Netflix Taipei twice. Therefore, Lee Jun Ho’s visit to Taipei ahead of the last episode broadcast also added strength to the drama’s explosive popularity. Earlier in 2022, he also excited local viewers with his hit drama “The Red Sleeve”.
As such, Lee Jun Ho, who was loved by Taipei fans as a member of 2PM 11 years ago, succeeded in captivating them once again with two consecutive hits “The Red Sleeve” and “King the Land”.
