SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama “Taxi Driver 2” got off to a fine start by surpassing the record of season 1’s first broadcast.

According to Nielsen Korea, episode 1 of SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama “Taxi Driver 2” (written by Oh Sang Ho/directed by Lee Dan/produced by Studio S, Group 8) recorded 12.1% nationwide, 12.8% in the metropolitan area and the highest rating of 14.5%, easily exceeding season 1’s first broadcast. These ratings, which surpassed double digits from the beginning, helped the work rank first among Friday-Saturday dramas. In addition, in terms of the 2049 (viewers from 20 to 49 years old) rating, a key indicator of channel competitiveness and topicality, “Taxi Driver 2” also took first place among Friday programs by recording 5.2% in the metropolitan area.

Meanwhile, SBS’ Friday-Saturday drama “Taxi Driver 2” revolves around Kim Do Gi (Lee Je Hoon), a Korea Military Academy graduate whose mother was murdered when he was young. Since he could not take revenge on the man who murdered his mother, he now works as a taxi driver for a company which offers a “revenge-call” service to its clients who have been wronged and helps them take revenge. Episode 2 is scheduled to air at 10 PM today (Feb 18th).
