Ahead of Children’s Day in Korea, EXO Chanyeol gives a meaningful gift to hearing impaired children.
The nonprofit organization Snail of Love which supports hearing-impaired individuals announced on May 4th that “Chanyeol has donated 20 million won to support hearing impaired children.“
The donated funds will be used to support two hearing impaired children’s cochlear implant surgery, as well as language rehabilitation therapy.
Chanyeol began regular donations to support hearing-impaired individuals in January 2021, forming a relationship with Snail of Love. He has continued to spread good influence by making four additional donations, leading up to this sponsorship.
Chanyeol stated, “I wanted to give a special gift to hearing impaired children on Children’s Day, which is why I decided to make this donation. I hope that children who receive surgery will be able to hear and communicate with the world and grow up healthy.”
Snail of Love’s Secretary-General Jo Young Woon said, “Deafness is the second-most common disability among all disabilities. One to two out of every 1,000 newborns are born with hearing loss each year. We thank EXO’s Chanyeol for his donation and will ensure that the donated funds are used transparently where they are needed.”
