Hyeri praises (G)I-DLE Miyeon, “You’re the funniest. What if too many entertainment shows want you after ‘HMLYCP’?
(G)I-DLE member Miyeon is recognized as a “funny spoon” by Hyeri.
On April 10th, (G)I-DLE’s official Youtube channel uploaded a behind-the-scenes video of Miyeon at the production presentation of “HMLYCP”.
Challenging a variety show as a regular cast for the first time through ENA’s “HMLYCP”, Miyeon shared, “Today, we did the production presentation and actually, I was super nervous. So when the reporters asked me some questions, I answered them sincerely but I can’t remember what I said.”
“Since we shot the show with our best, I think I was nervous to show it better”, she explained.
Regarding (G)I-DLE members’ reactions, Miyeon said, “After the first shooting, the members asked me how it was and if I did it well. I said ‘I’m not sure if I did it well or not…’”, adding “I shot entertainment shows before but sleeping overnight for a variety show… I never did this kind of show before. So the members were worried about me a lot but they also cheered me greatly. Thanks to the members’ cheering, I could do it successfully!”.
When getting called the “funny spoon” of (G)I-DLE, Miyeon reacted, “Am I a funny spoon? I didn’t know that. When the show is aired, I should check it out. Anyway, people around me say I’m funny and that makes me want to be funnier. So I try not to be aware of that and I also try not to hear such compliments. If I try to be funny intentionally, I won’t be funny at all”.
In this regard, Hyeri, the oldest member of “HMLYCP”, commented, “You’re really funny. You’re the funniest. After the show, what if too many entertainment shows want you? I’m telling the truth. One day, you’ll say, ‘What you said was all true~’”. In response, Miyeon said, “Don’t encourage me to anticipate it”, drawing laughter.
