“Kpop idol legends” Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu celebrate their 20th debut anniversary 

Former TVXQ members Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu, united to celebrate their 20th debut anniversary, met fans in a joint photoshoot after a long time.

On March 21st, Cosmopolitan magazine released a photoshoot of Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu. The focus of the photoshoot was to capture the two artists’ sophisticated yet intense visuals, which have remained constant over the years, as well as their chemistry that has been in harmony for a long time.

In an interview after the pictorial, Kim Junsu expressed his feelings on his 20th year of activities, saying, “Looking back, it feels like we’ve been through a lot to get here. But I feel proud that we’ve done well despite everything and won’t just let our 20th debut anniversary pass.” 

Meanwhile, Kim Jaejoong added, “It’s strange to think that so much time has passed, but I think it’s a time when we can be proud that we can do more in the future.”

Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu are evaluated as “Kpop idol legends”, who have received consistent love from fans and the public over the span of 20 years. In particular, the group they were a part of, TVXQ, is still remembered as a group that led the 2nd generation idol market.

Regarding this, Kim Jaejoong said with gratitude, “It’s strange but it feels good. Thanks to this, I also feel confident that I can do more in the future.” Adding to this, Kim Junsu said, “I feel the same way. I need to work even harder so that I don’t become a person who is not ashamed of myself.”

As for their future plans, Kim Jaejoong said, “If the timing is right this year, I would like to do something to commemorate our 20th anniversary together.” At the same time, Kim Junsu also raised expectations for the 20th-anniversary commemorative project by saying, “Since our 20th anniversary is a very meaningful year for us, we won’t just let it pass. I hope many people will look forward to it.”

Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu made their debut in 2003 as members of TVXQ, gaining popularity with their outstanding visuals and solid vocals. In 2005, they expanded their activities to Japan and achieved great success there, working from the bottom up with their localization strategy.

The two, who have boasted explosive popularity both at home and abroad with their numerous hit songs and unique physical abilities, left SM Entertainment and formed JYJ with Park Yoochun, another former member of TVXQ, in 2010.

Currently, Kim Jaejoong and Kim Junsu, who are active as solo artists, are actively engaged in various fields such as music, dramas, and musicals.
