Big Hit Music reacted toughly to malicious rumors surrounding BTS
On October 26th, Big Hit Music official revealed the agency’s official position via OSEN, saying “BTS has nothing to do with malicious rumors that are absolutely not true. We plan to firm responses to the spread of indiscriminate rumors”.
Recently, the police booked Lee Sun-kyun for investigation on drug charges and his involvement in an entertainment establishment in Gangnam, Seoul. In particular, this entertainment establishment is known to be a luxury hostess bar and their regular customers are mostly celebrities.
In the meantime, some people spread malicious rumors that BTS members were regular customers of that hostess bar. BTS’s fanbase ‘DC Inside BTS Gallery’ issued a statement urging the agency to respond to rumors that have been shared on social media and in online communities very quickly.
As a result, BTS’s agency Big Hit Music confirmed that rumors are “groundless” and announced “strong responses” against malicious rumor spreaders.
Meanwhile, BTS members Jin, J-Hope and Suga are serving in the military, while V, Jungkook, RM and Jimin are carrying out individual activities.
