Kim Tae-ri “The idea of shortcut transformation originated from me, I’m very satisfied”

For tvN’s new drama “Jeong Nyeon”, Kim Tae-ri changed her hairstyle to a shortcut, an idea that originated from Kim Tae-ri herself.

During an interview with Herald POP held recently at a cafe in Sogyeok-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, Kim Tae-ri expressed her satisfaction with the short haircut.

Kim Tae-ri said, “I decided to do it. I really wanted to cut it. Since I needed (to maintain) advertisements and image, there needed to be coordination with the agency. If it were up to me, I would have cut it all at once, but the agency wanted to take it slowly.

She continued, “Eventually, I got the length I wanted. I’m very satisfied.” She shyly smiled at the compliment that she looked the same as when she cut her hair short in elementary school.

Kim Tae-ri confessed, “It seems that the work I’m doing right now is the most prioritized. In that aspect, I think I should have cut it sooner. Even if filming hasn’t started yet, there’s a vibe from the change that matches the character in terms of lifestyle. Certainly, as the hair gets shorter, there are aspects where movements become lighter.

Meanwhile, “Jeong Nyeon” depicts the story of a girl named Jeong Nyeon (Kim Tae-ri) who joins a women’s traditional theater company and grows up in the aftermath of the Korean War in the 1950s. Besides, Kim Tae-ri’s film “Alienoid 2” tells the story of humans and monks trying to save everyone by returning to the present while hidden secrets are revealed in the fierce battle for the new sword. It is scheduled to be released on Jan 10th.
