In the video, Shin Ji Hoon shared, “I joined ‘K-pop Star 2’ when I was 15. Now I’m almost 170cm tall. But I was quite small back then since I used up all my energy on sports as an athlete. After taking a break from exercising for about three months, I grew about 10cm in a year.”

On “K-pop Star 2”, Shin Ji Hoon auditioned together with AKMU and Bang Ye Dam. She said, “Yedam was in elementary school and he was very young. Suhyun and I were middle school students. Suhyun is a year younger than me. It’s not a big deal that I turned 26, but I was very surprised knowing Suhyun is already 25 and Yedam is an adult now.”

She continued, “I remember there was a time when I didn’t practice and went to Chanhyuk’s room asking him how he could write a song.”

Shin Ji Hoon, who decorated every broadcast with amazing performances, said, “I was really happy back then. After the broadcast, I received so many SNS notifications that my ‘add friend’ function was paralyzed. I also heard a lot of compliments from Yang Hyun Suk. BoA also took a brief look, and taught me how to finish the ending It was very helpful”.

In addition, Shin Ji Joon said, “I placed third in the Figure Skating Asian Trophy. After then, I went to an audition. While practicing figure skating, I went to broadcasting stations. But I had to stop exercising for almost a year due to severe pains. My knees and hips were not in good condition, and they often got swollen. I could still do what I had been doing, but I couldn’t do new movements because my body structure changed as I continued to grow taller. When I suddenly grew tall, the axis I had been working with collapsed.”

She continued, “As being an athlete became difficult, I joined CUBE Entertainment, and began to find a new career for myself. Fortunately, I also liked singing and thought it was the right path for me. However, I terminated my contract with the company when I was around 20.”

Regarding her current situation, he said, “The success I experienced at the age of 16 was a sloppy success. I just got a taste of it. It was very difficult to see my popularity decline significantly. I really hit rock bottom. Nobody recognized me. Even if I released a song, people wouldn’t listen to it. I felt like I might not be making a proper effort because I had tasted success. I thought I should try to do what I could do from scratch again.”

Revealing that she sings, composes, and produces songs by herself, Shin Ji Hoon shared, “I also contact the location for my music videos and review the product on my own. Since I do everything on my own, there is nothing that I don’t like about it. I’ve done everything with my own hands. Luckily, things have been getting better little by little since then. I want to be a singer who is like a friend. I want to be a singer who shares not only the pretty things but also the pains with listeners.”
