The upcoming movie “Brave Citizen”, starring actress Shin Hye Sun, received bad news ahead of its premiere.
According to Star News on March 19th, the trailer of “Brave Citizen” was leaked and is spreading rapidly on the Internet.
Recently, the teaser for “Brave Citizen” was posted on SNS. The second video, which is 1 minute and 45 seconds long, shows the director’s name, the movie’s title, and the actors’ lines all written in English.
An official from the production team said to the media, “The teaser seems to have been leaked from overseas”, adding “We are currently investigating the source of the leak.”
Based on the webtoon of the same name, “Brave Citizen” depicts the story of the female protagonist who was once a promising boxing athlete but becomes a temporary teacher and faces injustice that she must endure in order to become a full-time teacher. The main cast includes Shin Hye Sun and Lee Joon Young.
After its theater premiere, “Brave Citizen” is set to be released in South Korea through Wavve, and through an overseas OTT platform for global audiences.
Actress Shin Hye Sun, who made her debut in the 2013 series “School 2013”, has been active in numerous productions. She recently drew attention by confirming her appearance in JTBC’s upcoming drama “Welcome to Samdal-ri”.
