K-netizens Comment On BLACKPINK Jennie’s Post And Reply To A Foreign Fan Back In 2017

Fans re-examined Jennie’s comment before BLACKPINK had their own world tour

Recently, a netizen on Nate Pann shared an old post of Jennie back in 2017 when BLACKPINK was still a rookie group, drawing attention.

In particular, Jennie went on the group’s fan community after BLACKPINK performed at a university festival and made a post titled, “Today’s Diary. Title: My feeling after attending a university festival”. In particular, the BLACKPINK member said she was worried that the audience might not know their songs because they were rookies but the performance turned out to be more successful than expected and the crowd sang along to BLACKPINK songs very loudly.

In response to Jennie’s post, a BLINK commented, “I’m a foreigner, so I couldn’t go to the university festival. I’m very upset and I want to cry so badly”.

Jennie saw this comment and replied, “Please wait until the day I come to see you”.

A few years later, BLACKPINK became the girl group with the highest-grossing world tour and attracted 1.8 million concert audiences.

In response to the post, other netizens commented:

– Isn’t this the group’s pre-debut teaser? I knew they would be so successful the moment I saw this picture. Even if they debuted with “Whistle” now, the song would still be a big hit. It doesn’t sound old at all.

– Looking at old photos of their first stage after debut… They already looked so different

– I can feel the vibe of a rookie from the line ‘Today’s Diary’. It makes me feel so emotionalㅠ

– BLACKPINK was a “monster rookie” during their debut days ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ Jennie was so humbleㅋㅋ With the debut song “Whistle”, they ranked No.1 on all music sites and topped the monthly charts… They even won the Rookie Award

– From a “monster rookie” to becoming the No.1 girl group in the world… How much effort have they made to achieve such a perfect discography?

– I miss BLACKPINK’s performance at university festivals…
