Jisoo’s solo debut is around the corner, completing BLACKPINK’s four solo projects that showcase the members’ individuality
BLACKPINK’s first soloist Jennie has emerged as a global star with her debut song “SOLO” in October 2018. Accumulated through years of practice and experience, “SOLO” conveys the free-spirited and confident charm that Jennie embodies in the M/V. The debut boasted a terrifying rise in popularity right after the announcement.
In the teaser’s revelation before the solo’s official release date, Jennie drew attention by revealing her provocative charm with a young yet bold image. The rapper created an intense impression by gazing directly at the camera with a rebellious expression and red lips along with “tone sur tone” costumes. Since then, Jennie has shown off her cute and sexy visuals through every solo stage performance.
Rosé was the second member to receive a solo debut and captivated global attention with her solo debut album “R” in March 2021. Rosé in the teaser poster gave off a dreamy and mysterious atmosphere with her platinum-white image in stark contrast to the pitch-black background. Marking a new start for Rosé, the singer showed off her more intense and charismatic charm.
Lisa, who was next in action, released her first solo single “LALISA” in September of the same year. Taking her own name to entitle the album, Lisa boasted a distinct colorful and energetic aura in the teaser poster. With a unique and trademark bangs hairstyle, Lisa put forth her musical identity with the solo debut.
Lastly, Jisoo showed off a distinct aura as a final member of BLACKPINK to debut as a soloist. Returning as a singer with her first solo album “ME” on the 31st of this month, Jisoo is expected to show a unique personal color through the activity.
From 2018, YG Entertainment has been pushing the members to pursue individual solo careers to establish a position for themselves in the industry.
