Jennie (BLACKPINK) becomes the target of a potential planned assault at the upcoming Philippines concert

After a month of rest in February, BLACKPINK will continue their “BORN PINK” world tour in Asia, across Southeast Asian countries from the start of March. However, just as the tour is resumed, international fans are worried over a potential assault aiming at Jennie during the two-night concert in the Philippines from 25th to 26th of March.

On Twitter, many publicly stated their intention in an array of offensive and threatening posts. An user even announced they would prize 5.000 peso for anyone able to fling cakes or cupcakes at the rapper. In response, international fans are trending the hashtag #KeepJennieSafe to spread the words to YG and demand increased security for the idol in the upcoming concert.

The reason for the sudden surge of malice comes from a comparison post for Lisa’s versus Jennie’s birthday cakes. The account stated that Jennie’s birthday cake in the “BORN PINK” concert in Hong Kong was allegedly bigger than that of Lisa.

However, it was debunked that the birthday cake for Lisa was actually from 2019, hence the size difference. International fans were enraged at the distorted truth and the subsequent hate Jennie had to endure. As of the moment, Jennie is receiving hate comments on both Twitter and Instagram.
