On February 15th, a video titled “Why Jeon Jae Joon’s love for Ha Ye Sol is a fake paternal love” was posted on the channel of famous Korean YouTuber Minhoaurs.

Minhoaurs explained Jeon Jae Joon and Ha Ye Sol by tying them into “gae” and “gae-saekki.”

Minhoaurs explained that Jeon Jae Joon curses a lot with the word “gae” (a curse word in Korean that also means “dog”) in the drama.

Jeon Jae Joon saves his friend Son Myeong Oh’s (Kim Gun Woo) number as “son of a b****” (gae-saekki) on his phone.

In addition, when Jeon Jae Joon met Ha Ye Sol, whom he believes to be his biological daughter, for the first time alone, he cursed at a honking car fast passing by, saying, “Which son of a b**** doesn’t know this is a school zone?”

Minhoaurs added that since Jeon Jae Joon has a red-green color weakness, this means Jeon Jae Joon is like a “dog”, because dogs are genetically unable to see red and green.

Choi Hye Jung (Cha Joo Young) also directly said to Jeon Jae Joon’s face, “You are just a dog at face value.”

Minhoaurs then brought up the scene where Park Yeon Jin (Lim Ji Yeon) calls Ha Ye Sol “my puppy”, implying that Jeon Jae Joon’s biological father is Ha Ye Sol.

Minhoaurs also pointed out that Jeon Jae Joon was not loved by his parents during his childhood.

In the drama, when Moon Dong Eun (Song Hye Kyo) reported Park Yeon Jin, Jeon Jae Joon, Son Myung Oh, and Lee Sara (Kim Hieora) for school violence, at the police station, only Jeon Jae Joon’s parents didn’t pick up their son.  Because they were abroad to play golf.

Minhoaurs analyzed the scene and said that Jeon Jae Joon’s personality flaw is due to him not receiving attention and love from his parents when he was young.

Also, Minhoaurs questioned whether Jeon Jae Joon, who was not loved by his parents when he was young, could truly love his daughter, Ha Ye Sol.

Minhoaurs added that Jeon Jae Joon has a severe inferiority complex to Ha Do Yeong (Jung Sung Il), Ha Ye Sol’s father and Park Yeon Jin’s husband. Ha Ye Sol is the person that allows Jeon Jae Joon to defeat Ha Do Yeong, who has everything, from character, background, to abilities.

In the drama, Jeon Jae Joon was so indifferent that he didn’t know whether Ha Ye Sol went to elementary school or which school she went to, but after learning that she was his own daughter, he ran straight to say he loved her.

Minhoaurs pointed out that Jeon Jae Joon’s actions did not take Ha Ye Sol’s feelings and emotions into account at all.

In addition, Jeon Jae Joon asked Ha Do Yeong, whom he met on the day of Ha Ye Sol’s open class, “Have you ever had something you cherish taken away from you?”

Explaining the scene, Minhoaurs said that Jeon Jae Joon did not treat Ha Ye Sol as his precious daughter, but as a means to break down Ha Do Yeong in order to overcome his inferiority complex.

Many “The Glory” viewers responded to Minhoaurs’ speculation with comments such as “This is an excellent theory. I’m convinced” and “What an amazing analysis.”
