Iconic highschool classes filled with K-pop idols

Perhaps every fan wants to experience the feelings of being in these special classes to study with their bias.

Becoming a trainee from a very young age, many idols debuted when they were still students. Art high schools like SOPA and Hanlim gather a lot of current idols and young talents who are training at entertainment agencies. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that many idols are classmates.

The graduation photo of a class of Seoul High School of Performing Arts (SOPA) was shared and drew attention again. In the photo, 6 idols who debuted can be seen: Mark (NCT), Mina (Gugudan), Arin (Oh My Girl), Laun (ONF), Donghyun (Golden Child) and Kangmin (Romeo).

The photo was taken many years ago, back when Mark, Mina and Arin had not debuted for a long time, but they were already popular. Having become official idols, these three were still comfortably taking photos with their classmates. It can be seen that, even before graduating, they stood out with their celebrity aura.

Mark

The most interesting part is, 6 idols sharing the same class have coincidentally repeated “the legendary class 3 – 5 of SOPA”. Not long ago, Jiho (Oh My Girl), Cheng Xiao (WJSN), DK (SEVENTEEN), Yuju (GFriend) and Minju (ICE) were also students of class 3 – 5. This is truly a special class that every K-pop fan wants to be a part of.

Arin

Among the 6 idols that year, Mark, Mina and Arin had more outstanding careers. Debuting in NCT‘s lineup, Mark is highly appreciated for his excellent rapping ability. The male idol maintains a stable charm despite the group’s large number of members. Along with NCT‘s success, Mark is also getting more and more attention.

The story of idols being classmates is not uncommon in the Korean entertainment industry. Suzy and Hyeri attended the same class at SOPA from 2010 to 2012. The two female idols also had close photos together that made fans excited.

Ong Seong Woo and Sungjae (BTOB) were in the same class at Hanlim High School. The group photo with the appearance of two popular male idols attracts fans’ attention. During a radio show, the former Wanna One member mentioned his friendship with Sungjae.

6 idols in the same class is indeed a rare case in K-pop. The idols of that year have had their own successes when pursuing their passion for art, making fans extremely proud.
