Sunmi received approval from “heavy drinker” Shin Dong-yup
On Oct 16th, a video featuring Sunmi was posted on Shin Dong-yup’s YouTube channel “Zzanbro Shin Dong-yup”.
In the video, Sunmi said, “I’m 31 years old, but I don’t drink alcohol well, so I thought I should learn to drink.” Shin Dong-yup clapped in satisfaction, saying, “You have to learn it until you die.”
Jung Ho-chul brought laughter by pointing at Shin Dong-yup, saying, “You really came to the right person. You’re learning from the best drinker in Korea.“
Shin Dong-yup asked Sunmi if she drinks occasionally, to which Sunmi responded that she doesn’t drink at all, not even a sip, even when she’s by herself.
Sunmi doesn’t know whether she’s good at drinking, and Shin Dong-yup expressed confidence in helping Sunmi understand her drinking capacity.
He suggested trying beer, soju and somaek (beer + soju), but Sunmi explained that she can’t drink beer because it makes her feel full and can’t handle somaek either.
Shin Dong-yup playfully called her a “pure soju” drinker. Sunmi confessed that in her early 20s, during a difficult time, she bought a bottle of soju, inserted a straw and drank the entire bottle without letting the taste settle, surprising Shin Dong-yup with her story.
