Haha, “’Running Man’ Group Chat Without Yoo Jae-suk, Jeon So-min & Yang Se-chan Had A Drink Without Me”
Episode 805 of MBC’s “Radio Star”, which aired on January 17th, featured the guest appearances of Haha, Kim Sae-rom, Kim Hye-sun, and Jo Jung-sik.
Haha is known to be active in various fields with numerous teams, from restaurant businesses, entertainment companies, fashion brands, music labels, and also other small groups. When asked how he managed the group chatrooms for so many projects, Haha said, “It’s very confusing and weird. If we make a group chat for ‘Radio Star’ but we are afraid that some conversations will make Doyeon feel uncomfortable, the four of us (Haha, Kim Kook-jin, Yoo Se-yoon and Kim Gu-ra) can make another group chat. We are a team but there can be 4-5 group chatrooms.”
Haha then mentioned “Running Man” group chatrooms, saying “There’s one group chat without Jae-suk hyung”. He explained, “We don’t bully anyone, but we’re just afraid of making mistakes. We’re very cautious about that. We put the names of all members in the group chat’s name. There are groups for the younger members and groups for older members”.
When someone asked, “Then there might be a group chat without Haha. Are you upset about that?”, Haha revealed a past anecdote. He said, “I could understand it because I did the same thing. But it shocked me sometimes”, adding “One day, I called Se-chan and asked what he was doing, so he said, ‘I’m having a drink’. But I heard the sound of Jeon So-min laughing from that side. I also heard the voices of the writer and PD laughing. I asked, ‘Where are you?’, and he said, ‘I’m just having a drink with So-min’, but the atmosphere didn’t seem to be like that. It was actually a team gathering after work.”
Haha continued, “As soon as I hung up the phone, I called Jae-suk hyung and said, ‘The kids are gathering’. In response, Jae-suk hyung told me, ‘I know’. I felt sad when they went somewhere without me”, and couldn’t hide his disappointment. Jang Do-yeon then said to Haha, “The group chat’s name may be ‘Without Ha Dong-hoon (Haha’s real name)’”, drawing laughter.
