Lee Jung Jae has firmly established himself as a representative global star in the world of Korean acting.
Lee Jung Jae was listed as one of the “10 Korean actors you should know about” by Argentina’s leading media outlet, La Nación.
Describing Lee Jung Jae as an actor who has won both the Screen Actors Guild Award (SAG) and the Emmy Award, La Nación highlighted his recent work in the upcoming Disney+ series, “Star Wars: The Acolyte”, alongside his other notable works.
In addition, Lee Jung Jae was recognized in the “Overseas Korean Wave Survey,” conducted by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism’s Korea Foundation for International Culture Exchange, as one of the leading figures in the global K-culture and content consumption trends.
Lee Jung Jae has also been ranked as the top Korean actor in several countries, including the UK (2nd place), the U.S., Australia, France and Italy (3rd place). He was also ranked at the top in Canada, Mexico, Argentina, and Spain.
Furthermore, “Squid Game,” a series in which he played the lead role, topped the list of dramas most favored by overseas consumers.
Lee Jung Jae rose to global fame through his portrayal of Sung Ki Hoon in “Squid Game,” which created a worldwide sensation in 2021.
As the first Asian actor to win the Best Actor award at the 74th Primetime Emmy Awards, as well as SAG, Independent Spirit Awards, and Critics’ Choice Awards, he has established himself as a major player in the US film and television industry.
