With this, Hanni has proven her popularity by being appointed as a global ambassador for a luxury brand within less than a year of debut.

In addition, Hanni was also selected as the first Kpop Global Makeup Ambassador for Armani, standing alongside world famous models such as Cate Blanchett, Sydney Sweeney, Tessa Thompson, and Barbara Palvin.

Other than Hanni, New Jeans’ Minji was selected as the ambassador for Chanel, Danielle for Burberry, and Hyein for Louis Vuitton, proving that they are loved by fans all over the world and extremely influential, despite being a rookie girl group.

IVE Ahn Yujin has also been selected as an ambassador for Italian luxury brand Fendi, whilst NCT Jaehyun is active as an ambassador for Prada.

On the other hand, BLACKPINK Jisoo, who is the global ambassador of Dior, once again confirmed her status by decorating the cover of “Vogue France”, making her the first Asian and Kpop star to be featured solo on the cover of this fashion magazine.

It is known that this Vogue France issue was published as a special tribute to Vivienne Westwood, a British fashion designer who passed away on December 29th last year.

Jisoo, who appeared on the cover wearing a black lace dress by Dior, is said to have captured the world’s attention with her fatal charm. She is also the 3rd female singer in history to grace the cover of Vogue France, following Madonna and Rihanna.

Furthermore, BTS Jimin recently became Dior’s newest global brand ambassador last month, while Valentino announced a collaboration with Suga this spring.

BTS j-hope also attended the Louis Vuitton 2023 Men’s Fall/Winter Collection fashion show, which was held in Paris, France in January.

Regarding this atmosphere, where love calls from luxury brands, which originally focused on actors and models, constantly shifted to Kpop stars, analysts pointed to the increase in luxury consumption among the MZ generation around the world.

BLACKPINK Jennie is actively promoting as a Chanel ambassador to the extent that she is nicknamed “Human Chanel”.

Like Yves Saint Laurent for Rosé and Celine for Lisa, love calls from various luxury brands to Kpop stars are continuing.

Media outlets also commented that the trend of luxury brands scrambling to attract Kpop stars has proven Korea’s strategic importance in the global fashion market.

In fact, according to the Italian National Fashion Institute (CNMI), sales of Italian fashion brands in the Korean market increased by a whopping 31% in 2022. In addition, the Italian trade authority analyzed that 7 out of 10 Italian exports to Korea are related to fashion.

Among them, leather products accounted for the largest share, followed by footwear products.
