Goo Hye Sun, dispute with ex-husband Ahn Jae Hyun’s agency “I’m exhausted and out of my mind”
Goo Hye Sun expressed her feelings about having a dispute with HB Entertainment, the agency of her ex-husband Ahn Jae Hyun.
On June 22nd, Goo Hye Sun posted a photo of herself wearing transparent-rimmed glasses on her SNS.
On Goo Hye Sun’s desk, there was a textbook titled “Principles of Microeconomics”.
Goo Hye Sun said, “I’m taking a ‘Principles of Microeconomics’ class that I chose because I didn’t know the economy properly. I have to take the TOEIC test this weekend and the final exam next week. I’m experiencing great anxiety due to pressure. The schoolwork I must do before graduation feels bigger and more nauseous than before.”
Goo Hye Sun added, “Even though everyone is trying to overcome difficult times, I feel very heavy-hearted about the news of the dispute. I’m exhausted and out of my mind due to problems that can’t be solved immediately. Nevertheless, thanks to the jelly, Bacchus and support that my schoolmates give me every day as well as the warm messages of comfort from professors, I realize once again that this isn’t a difficult time but a grateful time.”
Previously, Goo Hye Sun filed a lawsuit against HB Entertainment, with which her exclusive contract ended in 2019, to ask them to pay 107 million won, including YouTube content appearance fees and YouTube video profits, but lost.
The dispute between Goo Hye Sun and HB began in 2019 when Goo Hye Sun broke up with her ex-husband Ahn Jae Hyun. Goo Hye Sun notified HB Entertainment of the termination of the exclusive contract in August 2019, claiming that the agency handled their work only from Ahn Jae Hyun’s perspective.
However, the Korean Commercial Arbitration Board mediated in April of the following year that Goo Hye Sun should pay HB Entertainment 35 million won for damages related to the termination of the exclusive contract.
Goo Hye Sun paid HB Entertainment the corresponding amount, but she demanded that HB Entertainment pay her YouTube content appearance fees and YouTube video profits. However, the court dismissed Goo Hye Sun’s lawsuit, and Goo Hye Sun appealed.
HB Entertainment claimed, “HB Entertainment has been suffering serious financial damage and mental damage due to disputes related to Goo Hye Sun’s exclusive contract and lawsuits based on repeated false claims for years.”
