Cha Eun-woo Praised as “Mood Maker” on Set, From Villain to Puppy-like Appearance

The K-drama “Wonderful World” has introduced various facets of Cha Eun-woo, from  degenerate villain to puppy boy.

On April 4, the behind-the-scenes cuts from the MBC Friday-Saturday drama “Wonderful World” were released.

“Wonderful World” revolves around psychology professor and writer Eun Soo-hyun (played by Kim Nam-joo), whose life falls apart after her son was killed in a hit-and-run accident. She seeks justice but ends up committing a crime herself and is sentenced to prison.

Upon her release, Eun Soo-hyun meets Kwon Seon-yul (played by Cha Eun-woo), a mysterious person who lives a rough life after losing his parents due to a series of incidents.

As of its 9th episode, the K-drama has recorded a national viewership rating of 11.4% according to Nielsen Korea, breaking its personal rating record and proving an upward trend.

Here, Cha Eun-woo’s character was unveiled to be the villain of the series, trying to exact revenge on Eun Soo-hyun, who murdered his father. Playing the villain for the first time, Cha Eun-woo’s dangerous appearance has garnered unprecedented critical acclaim.

However, in the new behind-the-scenes cuts, Cha Eun-woo revealed a new charm by wearing a hospital robe and round horn-rimmed glasses while making a playful expression. Unlike his previous dark villain appearance, the idol-actor shows off an adorable puppy-like appearance during breaks on set, stimulating excitement.

According to the production team of “Wonderful World”, Cha Eun-woo is the mood-make on set, not only making people around him happy but also showing a passion for coordinating his acting with his co-stars.
