According to G-Dragon’s agency Galaxy Corporation, the foundation is named “JUSPEACE Foundation”, combining justice and peace. The foundation’s slogan is “Let’s protect peace & justice of love / love of justice”.
The initial donation is 300 million won, and G-Dragon will contribute this amount alone. In the handwritten letter on Dec 21st, G-Dragon announced that the first donation would be made in the name of VIP (BIGBANG’s fandom).
Choi Yong-ho, the representative of Galaxy Corporation, said, “The foundation is established based on Kwon Ji-yong’s strong will to realize a prejudice-free society through his music, and it will carry out activities accordingly. The first project of the foundation is activities for drug eradication and the treatment of addicted youth.”
Meanwhile, through the handwritten letter, G-Dragon stated, “I’ll make a comeback in 2024 and fulfill both responsibilities as an artist and social responsibilities.“
Having become aware of the seriousness of the drug issue through this incident, G-Dragon expressed his intention to actively engage in eradicating and eliminating drugs for vulnerable and misguided youth. He said, “I want to stand beside those who experience unfair events due to their lack of strength and fulfill a systemic role as someone’s older brother, younger brother or colleague to protect them.”
He emphasized, “By planting seeds through such activities, we can create a dream of a prejudice-free world by spreading campaigns for peace and a bias-free Earth, empathizing with various activities with many excellent fellow artists and fans worldwide.”
