Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin raise expectations for their upcoming drama.
The romantic comedy drama “Ask the Stars” (writer Seo Sook Hyang, director Park Shin Woo), set in a space station, has released the first stills of the two main characters played by Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin.
“Ask the Stars” is a romantic comedy that takes place in a universe, a concept that has never been seen in K-dramas before. It is expected to showcase a scale that is unprecedented in K-dramas.
In “Ask the Stars”, Lee Min Ho, who has risen as a global star beyond Asia through “Pachinko”, and Gong Hyo Jin, who has solidified her reputation as a trustworthy actress by winning the acting Daesang for “When the Camellia Blooms”, take on the lead roles.
Lee Min Ho plays an obstetrician who joins the space trip as a space tourist, while Gong Hyo Jin plays Captain Eve Kim, a perfectionist and top astronaut who does not tolerate a single mistake.
In the first still cuts, Lee Min Ho and Gong Hyo Jin raise expectations for their chemistry. It’s a simple scene of Gong Hyo Jin fixing Lee Min Ho’s headset, but the tension between them already looks overflowing, based on their eyes and expressions looking at each other.
In addition, other cast members including Oh Jung Se, Han Ji Eun, Kim Joo Heon, and Lee El, who have solid acting skills, are expected to make “Ask the Stars” even more exciting. The cast of “Ask the Stars” is working hard every day, shooting action scenes of high difficulty to realistically express the weightlessness in the spaceship. At the same time, they are also enjoying all these unfamiliar and hard experiences for the perfection of the drama.
“Ask the Stars” writer Seo Sook Hyang is known for her work in rom-com dramas such as “Jealousy Incarnate”, “Lovestruck in the City”, “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay”. Director Park Shin Woo, who has shown delicate directing skills and sensuous visual beauty, and Keyeast, Korea’s representative drama production company that produced “Hyena” and “Inspector Koo”, also participated in creating “Ask the Stars”.
