FIFTY FIFTY requests agency Attrakt to “remove the unfounded framing”

FIFTY FIFTY members directly requested their agency Attrakt to “remove the unfounded framing”

On Oct 12th, through their own SNS, FIFTY FIFTY continued to make critical claims against Attrakt’s CEO Jeon Hong-joon, “Please remove the unfounded framing. Did the agency view the girl group as a means of making money to resolve debt?” The members previously posted a lengthy handwritten letter through this account last August.

The members pointed out, “The agency’s CEO conspired with an external contractor’s CEO to claim that the advance debt owned by his other agency was 5 billion won invested in FIFTY FIFTY.”

They stated, “Attrakt is still avoiding the members’ demand for clarification and insulting the members with a baseless framing. Don’t mock us with the unfounded tampering frame. We will disclose everything with confidence.”

Furthermore, they requested, “Please truthfully reveal everything about FIFTY FIFTY now. We will disclose everything that we have been struggling with, the truth behind why we had to leave the agency and why we cannot go back.

FIFTY FIFTY notified Attrakt of the contract termination in June. They cited issues like Attrakt’s unclear settlement, lack of support and filed a temporary injunction to suspend the effectiveness of the exclusive contract. However, on Aug 28th, the 50th Civil Affairs Division of the Seoul Central District Court issued a rejection of the request for the temporary injunction on the effectiveness of the exclusive contract, saying, “It is difficult to conclude that there is an obligation to provide settlement documents, and it is difficult to see that there is enough evidence to support the violation of health management and care obligations. The termination of the business relationship with The Givers is not a breach of the exclusive contract.”

FIFTY FIFTY appealed the court’s decision, and although a second round is expected, the situation is not favorable for FIFTY FIFTY. It is difficult to say conclusively whether this latest counterattack will reverse the dismissal, and given the negative public opinion and industry criticism, the prospect of the team returning to activities has become even more bleak.
