On Dec 25th, reports surfaced on SNS claiming that forged tickets caused disruptions at the Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon, where the Gayo Daejeon will take place.
Both SBS and attendees reportedly faced confusion upon learning about this situation on the day of the event.
According to victims, scammers produced counterfeit physical tickets and sold them through direct transactions to make a profit.
The capacity for Gayo Daejeon is said to be around 10,000, making it unclear whether attendees with forged tickets will be accommodated.
SBS stated, “Regarding the forged tickets, we learned about the damage on the day of the event. We immediately requested an investigation from the police, and the exact extent of the damage is under investigation.”
Meanwhile, SHINee’s Key, TXT’s Yeonjun and IVE’s An Yujin are responsible for hosting the Gayo Daejeon.
A total of 25 teams, including TVXQ, SHINee, NCT 127, NCT DREAM, The Boyz, fromis_9, Stray Kids, (G)I-DLE, ATEEZ, ITZY, TXT, CRAVITY, STAYC, aespa, ENHYPEN, IVE, NMIXX, LE SSERAFIM, NewJeans, Xikers, BOYNEXTDOOR, ZEROBASEONE, RIIZE, NiziU and &TEAM will attend.
