“Taxi Driver” series reportedly confirmed to produce Season 3

SBS’s drama “Taxi Driver” has confirmed the production of Season 3.

On April 16th, a broadcasting official stated, “SBS and the production companies, Studio S and Group 8, have recently decided to produce Season 3 of ‘Taxi Driver’.”

According to reports, the broadcasting and production companies had been discussing the plan for Season 3 ever since Season 2 gained keen attention after airing its first episode on February 17th. However, specific details, such as the content and filming schedules, have not yet been decided.

The main cast, including Lee Je Hoon, Kim Eui Sung, Pyo Ye Jin, Jang Hyuk Jin, and Bae Yoo Ram, are positively considering their appearance in Season 3. Through various interviews, the actors also expressed their strong desire to continue this series.

The “Taxi Driver” series, which began in April 2021, centers around Rainbow Taxi Company which takes private revenge on behalf of unfair victims.

With Lee Je Hoon as taxi driver Kim Do Ki, who is a former special unit captain, Kim Eui Sung as Rainbow CEO Jang Sung Chul, Pyo Ye Jin as hacker Ahn Go Eun, etc., “Taxi Driver” recorded a rating peak of 16%.

Season 2, which highlighted more intense revenge tasks of Rainbow Taxi Company, ended with a 21% viewer rating on April 15th.
